The black and white chevron background of this tiered table set up really make the red hearts pop! Perfect for a bridal shower or bachelorette party too! Visit my shop if you need some heart cupcake toppers.

This table set up is perfect for using your small tinsel Christmas trees- just leave them out after the holiday and decorate them with your own diy heart ornaments for Valentine’s Day. Super easy!

Valentine’s Day Mini Cards

VALENTINE MINI HEART CARDS

Last week I featured these cards, along with some other easy Valentine’s Day craft projects, and today I am sharing how to make them.

If you missed last week’s easy and quick Valentine’s Day projects,  which included these adorable butterfly Smarties, you can see all the projects – HERE

Today’s project for the Valentine cards are perfect for making with the kids for a classroom card exchange since they are mini size and will fit in the kid’s card boxes.  They are also fun to decorate with embellishments and stickers or stamp Valentine sentiments on the mini cards.

All that is needed for your supplies is cardstock paper in your choice of colors, red and pink of course for Valentine’s Day, a die cutting machine (Sizzix Big Shot or the Cricut Cuddlebug are the two I use) and the metal die for cutting these designs is We R Memory Keepers Quickutz Mini Valentine Cookie Cutter Die available – HERE

The set comes as two dies and the mini rectangular square die can be cut in white cardstock or light pink for your card inserts.

First cut all your cards and envelopes and decorated your cards, you could also purchase store bought mini Valentine’s cards and slip them inside, if you don’t want to hand make your cards.

Next you will want to cut all your heart envelopes and then you are ready to assemble.

Once your mini cards are placed in the middle of your cut envelopes, simply fold the two hearts together in the center (the die even perforates your fold lines for you) and lock your hearts together with the pre-cut slits.

Next you can decorate your outside envelopes with even more and bigger hearts layered over your smaller hearts and cut down the middle for opening, like this –

These can also be placed on top of Valentine gift boxes –

So there you have it, easy Valentine cards to make with the kids.

This week I added lots of new Easter and spring pinwheels and I am running a big 50% OFF SALE in my Pinwheel Pretties Etsy shop –

Valentine’s Day Favor Bags Tutorial

VALENTINE’S DAY FAVOR BAGS TUTORIAL

Supplies Needed:
1. White Bags / White Lunch Sacks
2. Washi Tape (3 different designs)
3. Red and White Baker’s Twine
4. Valentine Tags (purchase or make your own)

HOW TO:
First, fold over the top of the bag.

Next, add a few strips of the Washi tape on the bag right under the fold. You can use only three near the top of the fold or add more alternating strips, as shown below.

Trim the edges of your washi tape along the fold of your bag with scissors, so it is neat and only on the front of your bag.  Add the Valentine tag onto the bag with the twine.

Then add Valentine’s candy.  Hearts of any kind are perfect!

Now you are ready for you classroom Valentine’s Day party or give these to anyone!
