If there is any small positive news to come of this tragedy, it is that in times of crisis, Americans always unite to find a solution and to make a positive change.
Once again a brave woman steps forward to lead our country in a difficult and sensitive legislative change. Senator Dianne Feinstein has promised to reintroduce a ban on assault weapons to the Senate on the very first day of the new House session. Let us unite once again behind this bill to stop the violence.
My wish for this Christmas is for the NRA to stand down, to request that their influential lobbyists step aside and recognize our country’s desire to change our gun laws to prevent future tragic events.
