Pinwheels & Party Ideas

Great News!  I just added hundreds of Ready To Ship Pinwheels to my shop! So many fun and colorful summery patterns now available.  Plus I have many more sets coming in the next week.

Pinwheels are perfect at any event, celebration or party and my solid color pinwheels coordinate to any themed birthday or baby shower perfect.

Just request your custom colors from my shop- HERE

Pinwheels are perfect as a garland hanging on the wall behind the party table wall or draped across the front of the party table.

Pinwheels were cleverly incorporated as favors but still as part of the party table background at this butterflies and pinwheels party.  How fun and easy to create!

Pinwheels are also ideal as table centerpieces – add them to vases or recycled bottles.

Pinwheels are also perfect as wedding decorations- use them as table number signs or as escort cards.  Give one to each of your guests at the reception check-in with their table number in the center of each pinwheel and then each guest can take a pinwheel home as a memorable keepsake from your wedding day.

I offer many more pinwheel options in my wedding shop-  I DO Wedding & Bridal Designs

Pinwheels are so fun on cakes and cupcakes too as toppers!

Polka dots and pinwheels just go together perfectly!

Pinwheels and the beach go together for so much fun too.

Solid and pattern pinwheels in all sizes are available in my shop – PINWHEEL PRETTIES

Summer Parties – Classic Themes

Summer is almost here and its time to start planning that outdoor party!  Today I am sharing a roundup of ideal go-to themed parties for your next celebration.  While most of these are kids birthday parties, they are great summer themes for any event too – a Memorial Day family gathering, a barbacue, an adult backyard party, or an employee corporate event.

So grab your sunhat and cocktail and let’s get going to the party!

First up is the classic Lemonade party.  Nothing says summer like lemons!  This party was complete with an actual lemonade stand too.

Oh you know I love these two parties because both feature big PINWHEELS and the one above with a TISSUE TASSEL GARLAND!

Of course strawberries are synonymous with summer too so they make for the perfect theme at this Strawberry Shortcake party.  Love those PAPER FLOWERS on the candy baskets too.

There is no shortage of fruit at any of these parties- next is a watermelon party complete with little hand cut black seeds added to the pink GLOBES– so clever!

The spread at this watermelon party tablescape is stunning too.

A cherry party is perfect in the summer.  Love all the printed cherry images and the matching striped STRAWS.

Last is a picnic party at a public park- but this could be easily done in a backyard too.  That over the top cake decorated with miniature ants is adorable.  Anything GINGHAM or red and white checks is absolutely necessary at a picnic themed party- but looks great at any summer party too.

Let’s kick off the first week of summer with these super chill rainbow popsicles that are so easy to make and the kids will love the bright colors! See below for the recipe-

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

Gather your juices and drinks in a variety of colors to create a rainbow popsicle effect (see image #1).

Rainbow Popcycles

Pour about a ½” layer of red juice into the mold, and freeze for at least one hour or until frozen solid (see image #2).

Once red juice is frozen, layer ½” of orange juice on top of the red juice (see image #3), and freeze for at least one hour or until frozen solid.

Repeat step 2 with both green and blue juices (see image #3 and #4).

fruity popsicles

Layer the final purple drink and insert popsicle stick tops, then place in the freezer for at least an hour or until frozen solid.

summer recipe

After removing popsicle molds from the freezer, briefly run under warm water — this helps the removal process.

Pull each pop from its mold and serve immediately on a brightly colored tray!

If you are having a themed party, you can follow the same steps with other colorful juices to create popsicles that coordinate to your color scheme for a themed birthday party, an upcoming baseball tailgate, patriotic parties, or other fun summer events.

And feel free to stop by any of our shops below to get help with your outdoor party and fun summer activities! We have plenty of RAINBOW PARTY DECORATIONS available for your next event!
