1801fd9ea49b255c985164b71934b0ce

These are a quick and easy DIY New Year’s Eve decoration for ringing in 2016! So easy!  Grab some gold balloons and your paint brush and let’s get started!

TOOLS AND MATERIALS

  • A dozen helium-filled gold or white latex balloons with gold string – SOLD HERE: GOLD BALLOONS
  • 1 jar gold enamel paint or “liquid gold leaf”  or white paint
  • 1″ chip brush
  • Latex gloves

*These can be white or gold balloons painted with either gold or white paint- either way works, you decide!

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix paint well.

2. While wearing gloves, hold balloon by the tied end.

3. Apply paint in quick, upward strokes toward the top of balloon. Continue until you go all the way around the balloon. Don’t fuss over perfectly even brush strokes – the hand-painted look is the goal here. And keep in mind, you only want to paint the bottom one third of each balloon.

4. Allow to dry, then add some extra ribbon or a tassel for decoration.

Tip: Hi-Float is a great product for making your balloons stay up longer.

Pinwheel Party in Pastels

PAPER PINWHEELS PASTEL PARTY

Hey You! It has been a little bit of a lag in between my writing here on The Party Fetti Blog.  Expect that to be the norm from now until the end of September.  I have been very busy with more and more custom orders coming in from my event planners and my five Etsy shops.  Yes, I have FIVE shops! All a bit different and all wonderful handmade goodness, plus my newest adventure with custom craft kits and crafting supplies with the READY SET CRAFT KITS shop.

ReadySetCraftKitsSticker

And it is only going to get much busier as the weather warms up for weddings and more outdoor events.  In case you didn’t know – my Etsy shops are only a small portion of my business – I actually work as a vendor directly for 37 event planners and wedding planners all over the world.  Every spring and summer, I ship my designer party favors, all handmade and ready to go, to every corner of this planet- France, England, Australia, Hong Kong and everywhere else. My pinwheels are my biggest seller and I start making them in bulk as Spring and Summer approaches. I have actually made 500 pinwheels in one day.  Whew- oh the blisters!

Here is a pretty pinwheel themed party featuring

All the sweets feature edible tiny pinwheels as well.  YUM!  That cake!

While I don’t make edible pinwheels for food, I certainly offer the real deal and they even spin.

I love the idea of SPINNING PINWHEELS on a cake!  I offer these in my
