SNOWFLAKE COASTERS SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • FREE Snowflake Printable & Traceable Templates-CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD
  • 2 mm Thick Felt (in various bright colors)
  • Sewing Pins
  • Scissors or Exacto Knife
  • Fabri-Tac Glue
  • Chalk

HOW TO DIRECTIONS:

1.) Gather your supplies above. To make the snowflake coasters, print out the downloadable snowflake designs above and cut them out.  For the bottom circles, use a drinking glass or any circular object around the home that is either the same size as your snowflakes or just slightly bigger to trace around on your neutral or contrasting colors of felt.  These will be your coaster bases.

2.) Place printed snowflake designs on your selected colors of felt and trace.  I like to use a piece of sharpened chalk for tracing on any fabric because it is very forgiving and you can simply rub off any remaining traced lines.  After tracing all your snowflakes, cut out each design around the edges.

3.) To cut your interior holes or designs of the snowflakes, fold the felt snowflakes in half and cut each hole or design with either a pair of extremely small and sharp scissors or if you are good with an exacto knife, this may the better tool for getting those smaller lines. Open, refold the other sides together and cut according to pattern until all your interior design pattern holes are cut.

4.) Use the Fabri-Tac Glue (or any quick-setting fabric glue) to adhere the snowflakes to the top of each cut out round felt piece. Use sewing pins to hold them in place.  Let them set up and dry for about an hour and then  . . . Voila!  You’re done!

Grab your cup of coffee or tea and test these out on any table in the home.  These add a festive cheerful holiday touch to your home this season!

Easter Bunny Banner DIY

EASTER BUNNY BANNER – EASY DIY PROJECT

P1120953

TGIF!  I wanted to share this easy and quick DIY Easter bunny banner project today. Let’s get to it-

SUPPLIES:

  • Spring themed scrapbooking paper or Solid Cardstock (One 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet per bunny or you can scale them down to cut two bunnies from 12″ x 12″ pages)
  • Silhouette Cutting Machine is needed for this project (or you can use the image below, scaled up and printed, and cut out as a tracing template)
  • Downloaded Silhouette Image #16784
  • Ribbon – Ric Rac or Satin Ribbon
  • Pom Poms (these can be handmade or purchased)
  • Hot Glue or Tacky Craft Glue

STEP-BY-STEP HOW TO:

1.) Cut your bunnies, either in the Silhouette or use the image below to drop in Microsoft Publisher, scale it up and simple print it and cut it and use it as a trace template.  If using your Silhouette, you can remove the white circle, since you will be adding your own 3-D yarn pom poms on top of the cut shapes.

2.) Add your yarn pom poms to the center of each cut bunny with either hot glue or tacky craft glue.  Allow each to dry so they won’t shift when you assembly your banner.  If you don’t want to handmake your pom poms out of yarn, most large retail chains or craft retail stores do sell felted poms or cotton poms that would look great as well.

3.) If you have a hole punch, you may punch holes across the top ears and thread your ric rac or satin ribbon in and out of the holes- or simply lay out all your rabbits horizontally over your ribbon and glue each of the back of the ears on top of the Ribbon.  Super easy! Once dry, you are ready to hang up your Easter Bunny Banner!

Frozen Party DIY Hanging Decor

DIY FROZEN THEMED PARTY DECORATION

SnowflakeDIY

Happy Monday!  Today I am sharing a quick and super easy DIY for creating some beautiful decorations for a Disney Frozen themed party or any winter themed event!  Perfect for a Winter Wonderland party too! It’s so easy, just follow the visual How To tutorial below.  For larger hanging table backdrop snowflakes, just increase the size by double or triple for each of the cut pieces. You can cut your rolled cones larger for the snowflakes by turning your letterhead page to profile, instead of landscape, and cut each one larger, one to a page.  Or simply use 12″ x 12″ cardstock in solid colors of shades of blue or scrapbooking pattern paper.

Before we get to the visual tutorial, in case I forgot to tell my regular followers-
