Christmas Decorating with Poinsettias

ADD FRESH POINSETTIAS TO YOUR CHRISTMAS GATHERING
christmas poinsettia decorating ideas
Poinsettias are a classic Christmas decorating staple and there are a variety of ways to use them.
You can create wreaths, vignettes, garlands and even bows for gifts.  If you are hosting the holiday Christmas dinner this year, I highly recommend picking up a few poinsettias from your local grocery store and adding them to your holiday decor.   They look stunning at the front door, around  the fireplace or anywhere in your home. Poinsettias can fill a bare spot in your home or just add them around the hearth area.

This idea is from The Kim Six Fix where she filled a red wagon with fresh poinsettia outside her front door. How clever and creative!

Another fun idea is to create a poinsettia wreath using faux flowers as shown here from V and Co.  That red really pops on the white front door!

Kate at Centsational Girl uses poinsettias on her front porch to add a gorgeous Christmas flare. Great idea to fill a planter with poinsettia to greet her holiday guests!

I love the idea of embellishing a gift with something homemade. Cheryl at Tidy Mom created this clever easy DIY felt poinsettia that would be the perfect replacement for a bow on a Christmas Gift or add them to some ribbon or twine and hang them up for a holiday garland.

Yellow Bliss Road placed her faux poinsettia in a tin bucket and strung a cute JOY banner. This is a great way to spruce up a poinsettia that may look a little tired after sitting in a closet all year.

This fireplace from Itsy Bits and Pieces is gorgeous featuring white poinsettias. If you do not  logs or wood, try placing grouped poinsettias inside the fireplace.

Poinsettias look great alone or grouped together and work just about anywhere. You can buy poinsettias at most grocery stores, local florists and, of course, your local tree farm.
