FEATURE FRIDAY PROJECT

Good Morning Sunshine!
It’s our first Feature Friday Project here at Va Vavoom and I found the most lovely and witty paper crafter to help me get this regular guest blog off the ground.  Meet Agnes our first guest blogger today and check out her fantastic cards.  She is a SAHM living in PA and she gets her boogie on to some spicy and upbeat Salsa!    You may visit Agnes at her blog, FlowerDisco’s Scrap Hut at http://flowerdiscosscraphut.blogspot.com/  where you can see all of her very creative cards and projects!

This first bright floral card is a standard 4.5 x 5.5 card and the pattern paper is from MME, the felt flower is from MS and the punched border is from Fiskars.

Agnes’ elephant card is great for a boy or a even a newborn baby which fits right in with the boy card theme I’ve been posting all this week.
Thank you, Agnes, for sharing all your wonderful designs with us today!  Don’t forget to scoot on over to her website to see all her other fabulous designs!

Join me again on Monday for MAKE IT MINE MONDAY’S PROJECT!

Have a great weekend!

Jill

THURSDAY’S BOY CARD

MURPHY’S LAW:
Why is that Murphy (‘s Law) always manages to find me?  After reading last night until the wee hours and finishing up my analytic writing for my Scope & Methods of Research class, I recieve an email this afternoon that class has been cancelled today and we are to have our discussion and turn in our written work after Spring Break.  Darn!  Oh, well-it’s done. . .now on to the big semester research project.

DON’T FORGET TOMORROW IS MY FEATURED FRIDAY-I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A GUEST BLOGGER TO POST SOME OF THEIR WORK! POST HERE OR EMAIL ME AT paperdolldezinez@yahoo.com IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO FEATURE YOUR WORK HERE!

CONGRATULATIONS BOY CARD:
Enough of that personal jibberish!  Today’s card is another digi image that I turned into a graduation boy card. . .or it could be for any occassion really.  The inside reads:  “We are proud of you!”  I really love these fun tuck in cards, they came in a kit that I purchased from a company called Adorn It under the design title Carolee’s Creations and they are part of the Scrap-A-Card kit.  I’m not a sticker person, but the stickers that I received in the kits were really nice and I just got creative with them and add stickles glitter to them or some other bling.  Anyway, if you want a good quality and quick and easy kit, you can check them out on the Adorn It website at http://www.adornit.com/

FEATURED FRIDAY & TODAY’S BOY CARDS

Happy Wednesday!  I will keep this short and sweet-I am behind on my reading and writing for my research class this week and I’m under the gun to get it done by today for class tomorrow.  So here Goes. . .

FEATURED FRIDAY PROJECT
This Friday, March 26th I would like to feature someone elses paper crafting work on my blog. . .so if you are interested post a comment here letting me know and I will visit your blog and check out your work.  If I don’t select you this Friday. . .I will definately assign you to an upcoming Friday and that will give you time to think about what you would like to submit or you can create a new project.

No complicated restrictions or guidelines, just follow these TWO simple steps:

1.) Email me the card/project photo, any text/instructions you’d like included or none as I can easily write something up for you.  I’ll need your full name, blog and/or store website address so I can add it as a link in my post.

2.)  Post a comment about your work being selected as the Featured Friday project on your blog with my with my full name (Jill Hayes) and blog name (Vivacious Va Va Vavoom) as a link to my blog in your post.

TODAYS BOY CARDS (X 2):

First up is Gamer Boy. . .
if you can’t tell, he is holding a Gameboy and inside the card I stamped, “Got Game”  The spotted background is created using a technique with melted crayons and watercolor paint and an iron. . .the melted wax creates a resist when you watercolor over it.  Fun!
The second boy card is just another version of my “Hey Dude!” card that I had posted earlier this week.  I added a star paperclip and used a combination of primary colors and some striped pattern paper with a little glitter on it.

Have a terrific day!
