Trending Party Decorations For 2018

The one trend that is huge in 2018 for parties and weddings is balloons.  Today I am sharing what’s new in all my shops for the Easter season but also so many other great decorations for birthday parties and weddings for this year.

Be sure to scroll below for all the new items available in my shops.

So of course balloons have always been a traditional decoration at birthday parties but this year the key to adding balloons to your next event is in creative set up and balloon styling and also finishing them with balloon tails and streamers.

Instead of balloons as an added decoration- they have become the feature of the party and the entire backdrop, like this set up above.  This balloon design was created with a balloon arch kit.  You can pick these arches up at most local party stores but if you are going for something this big – I highly recommend hiring an event planner.  They have the know how and the skills to set this up and help you pull off a stunning event.

TISSUE TASSELS and tassel garlands are also still in style this year!

Also if you missed last week’s post about trending giant paper flowers used to create stunning backdrops and photo backgrounds, click here to see it – FLOWER BACKDROP IDEAS

Balloons are not only popular at birthday parties and baby showers – they are making a come back at bridal showers and weddings as well.  Most are used for backdrops around the cake serving table or other food tables at the reception but also they are trending for photo backgrounds for the indoor and outdoor weddings as a fun activity for all the wedding guests to participate.  Balloons at weddings should have a more elaborate and elegant design staging.

Since balloons are hugely popular this year, I have added many new balloons – marble balloons and giant size balloons are hot right now and I now offer all kinds of balloon tails, balloons streamers and finishes designs for balloons.  Click here for all my balloon options in my shop – BALLOONS

I have all the favors you need for Valentine’s Day and to help you with decorating an upcoming party.  Here is a sneak peek of the new Valentine’s Decor I am offering in my shops –

This year I have added more hanging fans and balloons to the shops too!

Everything you need for a stunning Valentine’s Day celebration from bags, tags, hearts, boxes, stickers, cupcake toppers, banners and more!

Pinwheels are also perfect for any celebration.

Now for some easy diy projects that you can make yourself at home.

Heart Kisses – So easy to make with some punched or die cut hearts and glued wood picks to the back.  Easy peasy!

Mini heart Valentine’s cards – I’ll actually have a full detailed tutorial next week on how to make these little cards.  Come back next week for the full project how to!

Hanging heart streamer – so simple to create with strips of cardstock paper glued together, folded at the base and rolled ends (use a pencil to roll and shape these) and then glue your two rolled pieces together to make the heart shape.  You can add your string as you make each heart but I find it easier to just use a threaded embroidery needle to thread all the hearts together after you have made them.

More hanging hearts and even easier to make by punching or cutting 6 hearts, folded in half and glue each half side together- don’t forget to add your looped string in the middle before gluing your last heart together.

Flying high with you. . . Valentine Smartie favors made with lifesavers, stick gum, and Smartie rolls into sweet treat airplanes!  How fun to make with the kids too – some glue and rubber bands are all you need.

Owl Pillow Boxes- so easy to decorate.  You can even recycle and use shaped paper towel rolls for these too.

Give a special gift inside a beautifully decorated box for your Valentine.

A Unicorn Valentine card box would be so fun at a classroom party and will hold all those exchanged Valentine cards.  Just use any box and cover with white wrapping paper or layers of tissue paper and add some eyes, ears and of course a unicorn horn at the top!  Remember to cut a slit or hole at the top for slipping all those cards inside!

Many more ideas for simply ways to incorporate Smarties into your Valentine favors or projects too.  Thanks for stopping by the blog!
